Choose a QR code color
Select from six colors — black, white, navy, indigo, maroon, or forest. The light background of the QR code is always transparent so it blends with the photo.
Position, resize, and style
Drag the QR code anywhere on the image. Pull a corner handle to resize it while keeping the square aspect ratio. Use the opacity slider to make it subtle or prominent. Drag the rotate handle to tilt it.
Download at full resolution
Click Download to save the image with the embedded QR code at full resolution (up to 4096px on the longest side). The QR code will remain scannable at this size. To apply the same QR code to many photos at once, click Browse multiple first, then Download ZIP.
Any text up to the capacity of the selected error correction level: URLs, plain text, phone numbers (tel:+1…), email addresses (mailto:…), Wi-Fi credentials, or vCard contact data. The tool uses medium error correction by default, which balances data density with scan reliability.
Yes — the image is exported at the full original resolution (up to 4096px), so the QR code modules stay sharp and scannable. For best results, keep the QR code large enough that its modules are at least 10–15px wide in the exported image.
The light squares of the QR code are always transparent — they show the photo underneath rather than a white background. Only the dark modules are colored. This is why exporting in PNG preserves the best visual result when you need the overlap effect.
No. Both the QR code generation and the image processing happen entirely in your browser using the HTML Canvas API and a JavaScript QR encoder. Nothing is transmitted to any server.
Yes — click Browse multiple to queue several images, set up the QR code once, then click Download ZIP. Every photo in the queue gets the QR code applied at the same relative position and size, and all results are packed into a single ZIP file.
A practical minimum is around 2–3% of the image's shorter side at export resolution. If you are printing, the QR code should be at least 2cm × 2cm in print. Use the tool's live preview to test scanning from your phone before downloading.
